Job summary

Vanderbilt University Medical Center is seeking a Registered Nurse for the newly opened 10N Acute Surgical Care Stepdown unit. You will provide bedside nursing care, collaborate with a multidisciplinary team, and contribute to patient education and discharge planning.

The role is inpatient, with three 12-hour night shifts per week (7p–7a) and weekend coverage, in a dynamic, team-oriented environment. Prior EGS/trauma experience is a plus.

Qualifications

• RN license in Tennessee is required.
• Experience in inpatient, bedside nursing preferred.
• Ability to educate patients and families effectively.

Responsibilities

• Collaborates in establishing the plan of care and coordinates delivery.
• Analyzes information to determine nursing diagnosis.
• Continuously uses the nursing process to evaluate progress and adjust interventions.
• Promotes health and a safe environment.
• Additional duties may be assigned.
