Job summary

Vanderbilt University Medical Center is seeking an experienced RN for an inpatient bedside role on a brand-new Acute Surgical Care unit (10N) at Vanderbilt Health. You will provide stepdown level care to adults awaiting surgery or recovering postoperatively, in a collaborative team environment.

Three 12-hour shifts per week (7a–7p) with some weekends and two call shifts every six weeks. Preferred experience in EGS, trauma, ED, or surgical floors.

Qualifications

• Current RN licensure in Tennessee.
• Graduate of an approved nursing program.
• Experience aligning with Board of Nursing standards.

Responsibilities

• Collaborates in establishing the plan of care and coordinates care delivery across the patient continuum.
• Analyzes patient information to determine nursing diagnoses and priorities.
• Continuously evaluates progress towards goals and applies interventions to achieve outcomes.
• Promotes health and a safe environment; adheres to safety and regulatory requirements.
