Corewell Health - Troy Hospital is seeking a part-time RN for the Progressive Care Unit (3S) in Troy, MI. The RN will provide professional nursing care following the ANA scope and nursing process, with a focus on patient-family centered care and collaboration with the Nurse Leader.

Qualifications

• Associates in Nursing required.
• Bachelor's in Nursing required within 5 years.
• Graduates from a non-accredited school of nursing must have at least one year of acute care experience or two years in a licensed health care role and must have passed the NCLEX licensure examination.
• MI Registered Nurse (RN) Required
• Basic Life Support (BLS) from AHA/Red Cross/Canadian Heart and Stroke Required upon hire
• AHA Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) Required within 6 months
• Specialty Certification highly recommended within 2 years
• Direct inpatient care preferred
• 1 year of RN experience preferred

Responsibilities

• Utilizes the nursing process to provide professional care with patient/family centered care principles; assess, plan, implement, evaluate, discharge.
• Nurse Leader directs nursing care and documents education and learning in the health record.
• Partners with patient/family input and goals in planning the plan of care and develops teaching strategies.
• Documents and communicates care plan and outcomes with the care team.
• Provides teaching and education to patients and families as part of plan of care.
