Job summary

CO01 Southern Illinois Hospital Services Inc. is seeking registered nurses to provide professional nursing care for SIH patients in our Illinois campuses. You will assess, plan, implement and evaluate patient care in collaboration with a multidisciplinary team.

The role requires an Illinois RN license, CPR/BLS, ACLS within 6 months, and completion of required certifications. Training includes working through our internal Workday portal to apply.

Qualifications

• Associate, Diploma, Bachelor’s degree or Master’s in Nursing.
• Current Illinois Registered Nurse license.
• Current CPR/BLS Card.
• ACLS card (within 6 months of hire).
• NRP, PALS, or other unit-specific certifications may be required as listed.
• TNCC/ECRN required within specified timelines where applicable.

Responsibilities

• Assess patients to determine mental, physical, and spiritual needs.
• Establish a compassionate environment to provide emotional support to patients and families.
• Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate an individual care plan with the team.
• Provide health teaching and counseling to promote health.
• Document accurately in the patient medical record in a timely manner.
• Supervise licensed practical nurses and unlicensed staff as needed.
• Float to other SIH nursing units within competency.
