Job summary

MetroHealth in Ohio seeks registered nurses for the Critical Care Step Down Unit (7 West). You will provide care in a high-acuity environment with patient populations including CHF, COPD, DKA and sepsis.

Expect duties such as EKG interpretation, central line care, and bedside procedures, supported by a team of PCNAs, Nurse Interns, Providers, PT and OT. BLS and ACLS are required or obtained soon after hire.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited school of professional nursing; Ohio RN licensure required.
• Current AHA Basic Life Support for healthcare providers certification or obtained within 90 days of hire.
• Current ACLS certification or obtained within 6 months of hire.
• BSN is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Care for patients in the Critical Care Step Down Unit (7 West) with populations such as CHF, COPD, DKA and sepsis.
• Perform EKG interpretation and central line care.
• Assist with bedside procedures (endoscopies, bronchoscopies).
• Apply critical thinking, delegation, and time management to patient care.
• Collaborate with Patient Care Nursing Assistants, Nurse Interns, Providers, PT, OT.
