Job summary

The University of Vermont invites applications for the Student Success PC3 X position in the Center for Academic Success. You will lead a cohort-based learning community for STEM majors, promote scholarly excellence, and develop student leadership under the HHMI Success in STEM grant.

Reporting to the Director, you will manage day-to-day operations, build community, provide direct student support, and coordinate academic year programming and a six-week Summer Bridge for incoming students.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree and 3 years of related experience in STEM-based programs, residential or other cohort-based learning communities or similar programs supporting college student success
• Effective skills in program oversight and management, building welcoming and inclusive communities, student leadership development, educational program design and facilitation, communications and event planning and execution
• Facility with integration and effective use of digital platforms and tools and technologies

Responsibilities

• Lead a cohort-based learning community for STEM majors promoting scholarly excellence and leadership development
• Report to the Director of the Center for Academic Success and serve as a member of the UVM HHMI Success in STEM grant team leadership team
• Provide program leadership and manage day to day operations, build community, offer direct student support, cross-campus collaboration, and leadership development
• Coordinate academic year programming and a six-week Summer Bridge experience for incoming students
