Job summary

CSU Bakersfield Auxiliary for Sponsored Programs Administration (SPA) seeks a Project & Outreach Coordinator to support MESA program operations. The role focuses on day-to-day administration, coordination, budgeting, and reporting to ensure grant compliance and student success.

Under the NSME GO Director, you will recruit and advise students, plan workshops, build partnerships, and supervise tutoring staff, aligning activities with grant objectives and campus goals.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university and related STEM or education field.
• Two years of professional experience with postsecondary students.
• Experience coordinating educational or student support programs.
• Experience managing projects, budgets, or grant-funded initiatives.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate daily operations of the MESA Program and maintain calendars and records.
• Ensure grant compliance and prepare required reports.
• Monitor expenditures and assist with budget planning.
• Recruit and advise students and lead tutors and student staff.
• Develop partnerships with campus and community partners.
