Job summary

Sylvania in Utah seeks an Aide – Basic STEM Math to reinforce learning for students in grades 2-6. You will assist with math-related activities, supervise small groups, and help guide students toward academic success using personalized learning software.

The role supports teachers by handling instructional materials, maintaining a safe classroom, and contributing to organizational tasks under licensed staff guidance. High school diploma and related coursework are expected.

Qualifications

• Ability to operate standard office equipment and software.
• Ability to prepare and maintain accurate records.
• Ability to support classroom instructional activities.

Responsibilities

• Assist with activities and materials under the direction of the supervising teacher.
• Work with individual students or small groups to reinforce learning concepts and assist with assignments.
• Implement instructional programs and lesson plans under teacher supervision.
• Maintain classroom work areas, equipment, and records to support instructional activities.
• Monitor students in classrooms, playgrounds, hallways, and lunch areas.
• Communicate with teachers and staff regarding student progress and observations.
• Report incidents involving student behavior, safety concerns, or accidents to appropriate personnel.
• Respond to emergencies involving students and ensure appropriate assistance is provided.
• Attend meetings and training sessions related to job responsibilities.
• Support classroom teachers and school personnel with instructional and organizational tasks.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.
