Togetherhood is building a vibrant STEM teaching network in Washington DC, matching educators with after-school opportunities at schools and community sites. Instructors are paid per class or per-student under a contracted 1099 arrangement, with a separate materials budget available for classes requiring supplies.

What You'll Do

As a member of our network, you will be matched with opportunities to teach STEM (including but not limited to Science, Coding, Math, Robotics, Engineering, Video Games, Computer Animation, AI) to K-12 students at schools, buildings, and communities across Washington DC. These teaching opportunities will be for terms that could last anywhere from 6 weeks to 18 weeks.

As an after school instructor, you'll have the following responsibilities:

• Develop age-appropriate STEM curriculum for after-school students
• Lead weekly in-person classes with enthusiasm and expertise
• Establish a well-structured and lively classroom that keeps students engaged

Who You Are

A fun, enthusiastic, adaptable instructor, with experience teaching school age children, and who:

• Has subject matter expertise in STEMHas a passion and skill for building hands-on projects with kids

• Brings your own voice and creativity to each class you teach
