Job summary

Black Rocket Productions LLC in Sugar Land, TX is seeking an after-school technology teacher to lead students through our project-based curriculum, covering coding, Minecraft, Roblox, video editing and game design.

The role is part-time, hourly, with paid training and a 2:00–6:00 PM schedule. Applicants need not have formal teaching experience, but dedicated teaching ability is preferred; transportation within Fort Bend ISD is required and candidates should be at least 21 years old.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Completed 48 college units or passed NCLB exam or compliant equivalent.
• Experience with technology or teaching preferred.
• Reliable transportation throughout Fort Bend ISD with ability to transport approx. 30 lbs of equipment.
• Available after school hours (2:00–6:00 PM), Mon–Fri.
• Consistent attendance is REQUIRED; substitutes not available.
• Must be 21+ with experience working with children ages 8–14 or technology.
• Experience with children in an educational setting is preferred but not required.
• Comfortable with 20:1 student ratios for elementary schoolers.
• Strong technology skills (3D modeling, digital arts, coding, game design, animation, robotics, Minecraft/Roblox) or modding/streaming.

Responsibilities

• Lead students through a project-based technology curriculum.
• Deliver after-school sessions (2:00–6:00 PM).
• Assist with setup and transportation of equipment within Fort Bend ISD.
• Participate in paid training and ongoing professional development.

NOW HIRING! AFTER SCHOOL TECHNOLOGY TEACHER

We are seeking enthusiastic, motivated and talented individuals to work as Lead Instructors in our after school programs. Lead instructors guide students through our world class, project based learning curriculum to discover new technology skills in coding, Minecraft, Roblox, video editing, game design and more!

Full school year in 10 week sessions, with options to continue into additional seasons

Get in-room teaching experience with excited students

No formal experience required, but teaching experience in some capacity highly preferred

PAID training!

This is an after-school, part-time, hourly position

$17/hr - $22/hr

Experience and Skills

• Strong technology skills preferred, such as a background in 3D modeling, digital arts, coding, game creation or design, animation, robotics, modifying games, video editing, competitive gaming, etc. or significant knowledge of Minecraft or Roblox, including modding or streaming
