Job summary

National Math + Science Initiative (NMSI) invites skilled coaches to join our team as part-time, remote educators. You will design and deliver professional development for math, science, and English educators, both online and in person, while developing curricular resources for diverse districts nationwide.

You will collaborate with a team to craft content workshops and leadership trainings, mentor teachers, and help expand NMSI programs across the country, with occasional travel for events and

Qualifications

• At least three years of teaching in a K-12 content area or grade band.
• Strong familiarity with college-ready standards (AP, CCSS, NGSS).
• Ability to facilitate online and in-person professional development.
• Experience using LMS platforms (Maple, Canvas, Google Classroom).
• Excellent written and verbal communication.

Responsibilities

• Deliver professional development for teachers and leaders online and in-person.
• Develop, edit, pilot curricular materials for educators and students.
• Produce and deliver customized trainings for partner districts.
• Develop new educational content, including model activities, lessons, and units.
• Model teaching strategies and content-driven activities for NMSI stakeholders.
• Share feedback from training to inform future programming.
• Serve as an ambassador for NMSI and its mission and values.
• Promote NMSI in professional networks and support coach recruitment.
