Job summary

Teaneck Public Schools seeks a skilled individual to lead their science and technology department. Candidates must have a valid New Jersey Administrative Certificate and teaching certifications in fields like Physics and Technology Education, along with a Master's degree. Experience in STEM education and the ability to work with diverse communities are essential.

This is a twelve-month position with salary determined by negotiations between the school board and the relevant administration association.

Qualifications

• Must be able to perform essential job functions with or without reasonable accommodation.
• Minimum of five years of successful science or technology education teaching experience.
• In-depth knowledge of the New Jersey Learning Standards.

Responsibilities

• Assist in the improvement of classroom instruction through observations and evaluations.
• Evaluate curriculum offerings and recommend effective modifications.
• Provide comprehensive instructional coaching in science, engineering and technology.

Skills

Knowledge of New Jersey Learning Standards-Science

Teaching engineering practices

Ability to work in a multicultural community

Strong background in problem-solving

Education

Master's degree from an accredited college/university
