Job summary

The Oregon Department of Education seeks a Science, Math, and Integrated STEM Education Specialist to join the Office of Teaching, Learning & Assessment. This permanent, full-time role requires occasional statewide travel, with hybrid work and on-site collaboration as needed.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in Education or related field with five years of education experience and two years in leadership roles.
• Doctorate may substitute for two years of education experience but not for leadership experience.
• Oregon Standard Administrative License may substitute for leadership experience.

Responsibilities

• Develop science content standards and HQIM for science, math, and integrated STEM.
• Provide technical support and training to educators and administrators on standards and HQIM.
• Build partnerships to expand capacity using federal funding for science, math, and STEM.
• Support implementation of ODE's strategic plan.
• Monitor and share HQIM research and best practices with partners.
