Job summary

The Oregon Department of Education seeks a Science, Math, and Integrated STEM Education Specialist to advance HQIM and statewide standards, providing technical assistance and professional learning to LEAs and educators. This permanent, SEIU-represented role emphasizes equitable and rigorous instruction and broad collaboration with ESDs, districts, and partners.

The position supports ODE's strategic plan, travels statewide as needed, and requires a master's in Education with leadership

Qualifications

• Master's degree in Education or related field; five years of education experience; two years of leadership experience.
• A Doctorate may substitute for two years of education experience but not for leadership experience.
• An Oregon Standard Administrative License may substitute for leadership experience.

Responsibilities

• Lead development and implementation of science HQIM and standards statewide.
• Provide technical assistance and professional learning to LEAs and educators.
• Build partnerships with ESDs, districts, and partners to expand capacity and equity.
