Job summary

Liberty Steel USA is seeking a Maintenance Manager Steelmaking in Peoria, IL to lead Electrical and Mechanical Maintenance teams. You will ensure safe, efficient operation of the 115 MVA 225 ton EAF, ladle furnace, caster, and related equipment.

The role includes supervising salaried and hourly staff, coordinating predictive and preventive maintenance, and advancing uptime improvements. The position is full-time, on-site with rotating shifts, reporting to the site supervisor.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering preferred.
• 5+ years related experience in maintenance leadership preferred.
• Experience in a unionized environment strongly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead the Steelmaking Maintenance teams to ensure safe, efficient, and reliable equipment operation.
• Reduce downtime through proactive maintenance, predictive and preventative programs.
• Coordinate maintenance with production and other departments; report on metrics and schedules.
• Oversee staffing, authorize salary and hourly personnel decisions, and maintain shift records.
