Job summary

Liberty Steel USA in Peoria, IL, is seeking a Maintenance Manager Steelmaking to lead the Electrical and Mechanical Maintenance teams supporting steelmaking operations. You will oversee maintenance personnel and drive safe, efficient, and reliable equipment operation.

Key duties include supervising teams, reducing downtime, coordinating preventive maintenance, and aligning with production and union personnel to sustain safety, quality, productivity, and equipment reliability.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering (preferred).
• 5+ years related experience in maintenance; union environment preferred.
• Ability to work rotating shifts, weekends, and holidays as required.
• Strong communication and problem-solving skills under pressure.

Responsibilities

• Lead the Electrical and Mechanical Maintenance teams for Steelmaking operations.
• Supervise maintenance personnel and reduce equipment downtime.
• Coordinate preventative and predictive maintenance and monitor performance.
• Interface with production and union personnel to support safety, quality, productivity, and equipment reliability.
