Qualifications

• Must have high school or technical degree; 1–3 years in manufacturing preferred.
• Experience in steel/metal manufacturing is a plus.
• Knowledge of cold rolled steel is advantageous.
• Proficient in PC usage and ERP systems.

Responsibilities

• Set up, operate, maintain and monitor the oscillator to slit cold rolled steel to specified spools.
• Read production schedules and work orders to plan operations.
• Load steel coils and coordinate with crane operators to position coils.
• Position and secure coils on the oscillator using appropriate fixtures and tools.
• Monitor oscillation process and adjust speeds to meet specs.
• Record process data for quality assurance and traceability.
• Inspect finished coils with measuring tools to ensure tolerances.
• Assist in training new workers on slitting setup and operation.
