Job summary

Schuff Steel Co. is seeking a Sr Project Manager to lead construction activities from start to finish on assigned projects, ensuring delivery within time and budget constraints. You will collaborate with clients and cross-functional teams to ensure deliverables align with scope and budget.

You will mentor a team of project managers, coordinators, and administrators, manage change orders, and maintain rigorous documentation to safeguard company interests and ensure high-quality outcomes.

Responsibilities

• Manages all activities associated with the construction of an assigned project.
• Manages multiple projects of significant impact.
• Mentors project management team including managers, coordinators, and administrators.
• Ensures contractual terms and obligations are maintained.
• Maintains project cost controls and seeks authorization for out-of-budget costs.
• Accounts for project change orders accurately.
• Coordinates with departments to schedule work and materials.
• Meets with customers and vendors to resolve barriers and maximize production.
• Occasionally travels to job sites; may require out-of-state travel.
• Prepares management reports and ensures timely updates.
• Communicates with Owners, Architects, Engineers, Contractors, Detailers, and Plant/Field crews.
• Reviews plans/proposals to determine proper procedures for company goals.
• Ensures all aspects of projects are properly documented to protect Schuff's interests.
• Directs and monitors project-team activities to ensure quality.
