Job summary

Lucas Milhaupt is seeking a Steel Business Systems (SBS) Intern to learn tasks within the department under management with limited supervision, supporting safety and Lean initiatives at our Cudahy, Wisconsin facility.

You will collaborate with engineers and operators to create training materials, edit job breakdowns, and help document processes while maintaining strong organization and communication.

Qualifications

• 40 hours a week.
• Bachelor’s degree or currently enrolled in accredited college or university.
• Proficient in Microsoft Word and capable with video editing software.

Responsibilities

• Actively participate and abide by Lucas Milhaupt safety program and policies.
• Actively participate and engage in Department and Company Lean activities driving business improvement ideas, quality enhancements, productivity improvements, safety updates or other areas of Lean including 5S, Kaizen events, etc.
• Observe and video record processes.
• Work with Engineers, VSMs, and Operators to create training documentation.
• Review and edit training documentation such as Job Breakdowns, troubleshooting trees, and visual work instructions.
• Monitor and track the progress of the creation of training material.
• All other tasks as assigned by his/her supervisor.

This position is based on site at our facilities in Cudahy, Wisconsin. It is a manufacturing company, and the Pricing Analyst will work with a diverse population in both office and production settings. The position may require the use of personal protective equipment (eye protection, hearing protection and steel toe shoes provided by the company).
