Job summary

Lucas Milhaupt LLC in Cudahy, Wisconsin, is seeking an SBS Intern to learn a wide range of department tasks with limited supervision and to participate in lean activities that drive business improvements.

You will collaborate with Engineers, VSMs, and Operators to create training documentation, review Job Breakdowns, and help develop visual work instructions while monitoring progress and ensuring adherence to safety policies.

Qualifications

• Proficient in Microsoft Word.
• Highly organized and able to work independently.
• Familiar with video editing software.
• Effective communication with peers and supervisors.
• Bachelor’s degree or current enrollment in accredited college/university.

Responsibilities

• Actively participate in safety program and policies.
• Engage in Lean activities driving business improvement.
• Observe and video record processes.
• Create training documentation with Engineers, VSMs, and Operators.
• Review and edit training materials such as Job Breakdowns and visual work instructions.
• Monitor progress of training material creation.
• All other tasks as assigned by supervisor.

Position Overview

As an SBS Intern, the incumbent should possess the skills, ability, knowledge, and willingness to

learn any task within the department requested by management with limited supervision and oversight

or guidance.

Responsibilities

• Actively participate and abide by Lucas Milhaupt safety program and policies.
• Actively participate and engage in Department and Company Lean activities driving business
• improvement ideas, quality enhancements, productivity improvements, safety updates or
• other areas of Lean including 5S, Kaizen events, etc.
• Observe and video record processes.
• Work with Engineers, VSMs, and Operators to create training documentation.
• Review and edit training documentation such as Job Breakdowns, troubleshooting trees, and
• visual work instructions.
• Monitor and track the progress of the creation of training material.
• All other tasks as assigned by his/her supervisor.

Requirements

• Proficient in Microsoft Word.
• Highly organized.
• Familiar with video editing software.
• Capable of executing work according to trained processes and procedures.
• Ability to communicate effectively with peers and supervisors.
• Ability to work independently to meet deadlines and requirements.

Education

• 40 hours a week.
• Bachelor’s degree or currently enrolled in accredited college or university.

This position is based on site at our facilities in Cudahy, Wisconsin. It is a manufacturing company, and the Pricing Analyst will work with a diverse population in both office and production settings. The position may require the use of personal protective equipment (eye protection, hearing protection and steel toe shoes provided by the company).
