Job summary

Lucas Milhaupt LLC in Wisconsin is seeking a SBS Intern to assist in department tasks with limited supervision, focusing on learning tasks across the department.

You will participate in safety, Lean activities, and help engineers, VSMs, and operators to create and edit training materials; a Bachelor’s or current enrollment is required, 40 hours/week, on-site.

Qualifications

  • Highly organized with strong time management.
  • Familiar with video editing software.
  • Capable of effective communication with peers and supervisors.
  • Ability to work independently to meet deadlines and requirements.

Responsibilities

  • Actively participate in Lucas Milhaupt safety program and policies.
  • Actively participate and engage in Department and Company Lean activities driving business improvements.
  • Drive ideas for Lean including 5S, Kaizen events, and other improvements.
  • Observe and video record processes.
  • Work with Engineers, VSMs, and Operators to create training documentation.
  • Review and edit training documentation such as Job Breakdowns, troubleshooting trees, and visual work instructions.
  • Monitor and track the progress of the creation of training material.
  • All other tasks as assigned by supervisor.

Position Overview

As an SBS Intern, the incumbent should possess the skills, ability, knowledge, and willingness to

learn any task within the department requested by management with limited supervision and oversight

or guidance.

Responsibilities

  • Actively participate and engage in Department and Company Lean activities driving business
  • improvement ideas, quality enhancements, productivity improvements, safety updates or
  • other areas of Lean including 5S, Kaizen events, etc.
  • Observe and video record processes.
  • Work with Engineers, VSMs, and Operators to create training documentation.
  • Review and edit training documentation such as Job Breakdowns, troubleshooting trees, and
  • visual work instructions.
  • Monitor and track the progress of the creation of training material.
  • All other tasks as assigned by his/her supervisor.
Requirements
  • Proficient in Microsoft Word.
  • Highly organized.
  • Familiar with video editing software.
  • Capable of executing work according to trained processes and procedures.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with peers and supervisors.
  • Ability to work independently to meet deadlines and requirements.

Education

  • 40 hours a week.
  • Bachelor’s degree or currently enrolled in accredited college or university.

This position is based on site at our facilities in Cudahy, Wisconsin. It is a manufacturing company, and the Pricing Analyst will work with a diverse population in both office and production settings. The position may require the use of personal protective equipment (eye protection, hearing protection and steel toe shoes provided by the company).
