Job summary

Rasmussen Mechanical Services is seeking a Steamfitter/Pipefitter to lay out, fabricate, assemble, install and maintain piping systems for steam, hot water, heating, cooling and processing systems. Work will be in shop and field locations, with overtime and out-of-town assignments as needed.

The ideal candidate has 1+ year of related experience; welding education or certifications are preferred. Willingness to work weekends/holidays and after-hours is required; overtime is paid per RMS rates or

Qualifications

• 1+ year of related experience.
• Welding education or certifications preferred.

Responsibilities

• Select type and size of pipe and related materials according to job specifications.
• Assemble and install variety of metal and nonmetal pipe and pipe fittings.
• Join pipe by means of threaded, soldered, brazed, etc.
• Secure pipes to structure with clamps, brackets and hangers.
• Test piping systems for leaks by increasing pressure in pipes and observing gauges.
• Fabrication of new or replacement components or equipment
• Plan and coordinate tools, equipment and material requires for assigned task
• Work with Mechanical Construction Staff to provide prompt response to scheduled/emergency service
• Attend training programs as requested by Management
• Assist in monitoring of Company safety policies and workplace safety issues
