Job summary

Rasmussen Mechanical Services is seeking a Steamfitter / Pipefitter to lay out, fabricate, install and maintain piping systems for industrial processes. Work will be in shop and field locations, with out-of-town assignments and overtime as needed.

The role requires 1+ year of related experience; welding education is preferred. Benefits include vacation and holiday pay along with retirement and health coverage.

Qualifications

• HS diploma or GED required.
• 1+ year of related experience; welding education preferred.
• Must be able to lift 50 lbs regularly.
• Ability to work out of town, weekends/holidays, and after hours as needed.

Responsibilities

• Select type and size of pipe and materials per job specifications.
• Assemble and install metal/nonmetal pipe and pipe fittings.
• Join pipes by threading, soldering, brazing, etc.
• Secure pipes with clamps, brackets and hangers.
• Test piping systems for leaks at pressure.
• Fabricate new or replacement components or equipment.
• Plan and coordinate tools and materials for tasks.
• Support in prompt response to scheduled or emergency service.
• Adhere to safety policies and complete required paperwork.
