Job summary

The State of North Carolina's Department of Adult Correction is hiring a Boiler Operator Lead at Piedmont Correctional Institution in Salisbury, NC. You will start/monitor boilers, supervise shift staff, and ensure safe operation of the steam plant.

Responsibilities include directing staff, system monitoring, water analysis, safety compliance, and keeping detailed records of steam output and fuel use. Must meet KSAs and reporting to Maintenance Supervisor.

Qualifications

• Two years of experience operating and maintaining large steam boilers.
• Equivalent combination of education and experience allowed.
• Must be able to perform physically demanding tasks.
