Job summary

Nexplore Kensington, Maryland is seeking a part-time STEAM Instructor to deliver hands-on, standards-aligned instruction in STEM, Digital Tech, Art, Life Skills and/or Fitness to PreK-12 students. You will use provided curricula, review plans before class, and communicate with site staff to ensure a positive learning experience.

Ideal candidates have an AA degree or higher, 2+ years teaching experience, and a genuine passion for hands-on learning.

Qualifications

• AA degree or higher required or preferred.
• 2+ years teaching/instructing experience preferred.
• Experience working with children.
• Teaching degree or certificate is a plus.
• Commit to full proposed schedule.
• Must complete mandatory training.

Responsibilities

• Deliver high-quality in-person STEM, Digital Tech, Art, Life Skills and/or Fitness instruction.
• Follow a provided schedule, review lesson plans and materials prior to instruction.
• Engage in professional, responsive communication with the Program Success Manager and site personnel.
• Deliver inspiring instruction from Nexplore's programs using accommodations as relevant.
• Participate in family engagement efforts and help children access and engage in Nexplore programs.
