Job summary

Health Care Service Corporation is seeking a finance professional to prepare statutory financial reports and the quarterly and annual state filings for several insurance entities. The role involves research, analysis, posting journal entries, and coordinating data with other teams.

You will maintain state reporting databases, process P2P payments, perform reconciliations, intercompany settlements, and prepare required statements.

Qualifications

• Bachelor degree in accounting, finance or management, or 4 years accounting experience.
• Knowledge of basic accounting.
• MS Office and Access.
• Experience with Financial Systems.
• Statistical data analysis.
• Good grammar, clear, concise communication.

Responsibilities

• Pay the monthly, quarterly and annual state assessments.
• Maintain state reporting database.
• Maintain the Plan-to-Plan (P2P) payments and prepare check requests to various providers; prepare journal entries to record P2P activity.
• Prepare balance sheet account reconciliations.
• Prepare monthly intercompany settlements.
• Prepare statutory quarterly and annual statements.
• Perform special projects as needed.
