Job summary

HCSC is seeking a finance professional to prepare statutory financial reports and lead state reporting for multiple insurers. The role involves research, analysis, journal entries, reconciliations, data submission, and coordinating with other areas to resolve questions.

You will handle monthly, quarterly, and annual state assessments, intercompany settlements, and prepare the statutory statements, with opportunities for special projects.

Qualifications

• Bachelor degree in accounting, finance or management or 4 years accounting experience.
• Knowledge of basic accounting.
• MS Office and Access.
• Experience with Financial Systems.
• Statistical data analysis.
• Good grammar, clear, concise communication with appropriate word choice.

Responsibilities

• Responsible for paying the monthly, quarterly and annual state assessments.
• Maintain state reporting database that contains details of assessments.
• Maintain the Plan-to-Plan (P2P) payments; prepare check requests to providers and journal entries for P2P activity.
• Prepare balance sheet account reconciliations.
• Prepare monthly intercompany settlements.
• Prepare statutory quarterly and annual statements.
• Perform special projects as needed.
