Brighthouse Financial in Charlotte, NC offers a hybrid work model allowing remote or in-office collaboration. We seek an Accounting Consultant, Reinsurance, to support statutory reporting for captive insurance operations and ensure timely close and regulatory filings.

You will prepare NAIC statutory financial statements, regulatory reports, and comment on variances, working with auditors and actuaries. A BS/BA in accounting or finance and 5+ years of experience are required.

Qualificações

• BS/BA in accounting or finance required.
• 5+ years of experience in financial accounting and reporting.
• Strong Excel skills; ability to learn other systems quickly.
• Insurance/reinsurance experience preferred.

Responsabilidades

• Prepare end-to-end filing of quarterly and annual NAIC Statutory Financial Statements (Blue Book) for Captive Insurance Company.
• Prepare monthly, quarterly and year-end regulatory reporting and financial statements for STAT requirements for Captive Insurance Company.
• Prepare annual Statutory Audited Financial Statements and Management Discussion and Analysis for Captive Insurance Company.
• Research variances and review quarterly analytics for completion of quarterly close.
• Review monthly journal entries, reconciliations and monthly financial reporting for close.
• Interact with internal/external auditors, lines of business, Treasury, and actuaries in financial reporting responsibilities.
