Job summary

Siemens Energy in Charlotte, NC is seeking a Stator Assembler to support the final assembly of large generators, learning operations and using precision instruments to verify dimensions while handling rotor-to-core components, bearings, pedestals and other generator parts.

You will work with experienced team members, follow safety standards, and operate shop tools such as grinders, sanders, drills, ratchets and wrenches.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED equivalent.
  • 4+ years of industrial or mechanical experience preferred.
  • Proficiency using common shop tools and selecting the appropriate tool for the task.
  • Ability to use precision measuring instruments and perform basic mathematical calculations.
  • Ability to read, write, and complete simple forms; must be able to pass required hearing and vision tests.
  • Applicants must be legally authorized for employment in the United States without need for current or future employer-sponsored work authorization.

  • Assemble rotor-to-core components, bearings, pedestals, and other generator parts according to specifications.
  • Safely operate and select appropriate shop tools, including grinders, sanders, drills, ratchets, and wrenches.
  • Use precision measuring equipment to verify dimensions and maintain quality standards.
  • Move and position materials and components weighing up to 50 pounds as required.
  • Obtain and safely operate fork truck and crane equipment in support of assembly activities.
