Qualifications

• Doctoral degree in statistics, biostatistics, mathematics, computer science or a closely related discipline with strong statistical inference.
• 3+ years in the pharmaceutical industry applying advanced computational methods in clinical development.
• Strong programming skills and experience with reproducible workflows, version control and software quality.

Responsibilities

• Develop and apply advanced computational and statistical methods, including machine learning, AI, and simulation to inform design, analysis and decision-making across development.
• Build robust, reusable tools and workflows to bring these methods into routine use with emphasis on reproducibility and software quality.
• Address emerging problems such as synthetic/external control data, causal inference, and digital-twin/simulation approaches.
• Collaborate with statisticians and cross-functional teams to translate complex methods into clear insights for technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Share tools, code, and methods across the team and wider organization to bolster internal capabilities.
• Contribute to the group’s external profile via publications, conference presentations, and cross-industry collaborations.
