Job summary
Frederick Health is seeking a Stationary Engineer to support the boiler plant and auxiliary equipment on an as-needed basis. Shifts run 7a–3p, 3p–11p, and 11p–7a with additional shift differential for evenings, nights and weekends.
The role reports to Plant Operations leadership and requires a Maryland 1st Class Engineer’s license or a 2nd Class with four years of related boiler experience. The Engineer will troubleshoot, repair, and operate plant systems, maintain safety and quality, and serve
Qualifications
- Maryland 1st Class Engineer’s license or 2nd Class Engineer with four (4) years’ experience in the operation, maintenance and repair of high‑pressure boilers, chillers, pumps, cooling towers and auxiliary plant equipment.
- High School graduate or equivalent; trade or military school preferred.
Responsibilities
- Assist with Boiler Plant Operation.
- Maintains adequate steam and chill water.
- Operates equipment in an efficient manner.
- Responds to routine maintenance calls while on shift.
- Documents routine maintenance calls.
- Performs emergency repairs correctly, safely and in a timely manner.
