Job summary

Constellation New Energy is seeking a Stationary Engineer to operate and maintain eight Cleaver-Brooks boilers at a customer facility in Frederick, Maryland. The role requires strong safety discipline, on-site customer engagement, and the ability to work 24/7 shifts.

Ideal candidates will have a Maryland Grade 1 Stationary Engineer license or the ability to obtain one, plus 5+ years boiler operating experience. Proficiency in MS Office and a valid driver's license are required.

Qualifications

• High school Diploma or GED is required.
• 5+ years boiler operating experience or equivalent.
• Maryland Grade 1 Stationary Engineer license or ability to obtain.
• Must possess a Federal Security Clearance (HSPD-12) or eligible.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
• Ability to work independently and handle confidential information.

Responsibilities

• Operate and maintain eight Cleaver Brooks 400 & 500 HP boilers and related equipment.
• Maintain safe working conditions and enforce safety compliance.
• Serve as the on-site Conway Constellation representative at the customer facility.
• Monitor plant operations via control systems and respond to dynamic 24/7 conditions.
• Respond to emergencies and be on-call during odd hours and weekends.
• Ensure regulatory obligations are met and water quality is maintained.
• Perform preventive maintenance and document all maintenance activities.
• Implement Lock-Out/Tag-Out procedures and maintain necessary records.
