Job summary

UMBC is seeking a Stationary Engineer - High Temperature/Pressure to perform technical maintenance as a lead engineer on a night shift in a campus power plant. You will operate and maintain high-temperature hot water boilers and a 2,000-ton chiller, ensuring safe, efficient campus utilities.

Responsibilities include supervising first grade stationary engineers, coordinating repairs, and monitoring safety controls.

Qualifications

• Five years in operation of boiler room facility, three years with boilers over 500 hp and chillers over 500 tons.
• First Grade Stationary Engineer license in MD.
• MD Class C Driver’s License required.

Responsibilities

• Operate and maintain central plant boiler and chiller systems.
• Lead operating engineers on assigned shift.
• Coordinate inspection, repair and maintenance activities.
