Job summary

Qualifications

• Must possess a current Maryland 1st Class license.
• Minimum of five (5) years field experience operating commercial mechanical systems; boilers, chillers, and controls preferred.
• Strong communication and reporting abilities with Customer’s Representative.
• Ability to read blueprints and BAS control drawings.
• EPA universal refrigeration certificate and safety-conscious work practices.
• Willingness to work 12-hour rotating shifts including weekends.

Responsibilities

• Perform and oversee corrective maintenance per contract specifications.
• Operate system components including boilers, chillers, cooling towers, pumps, air compressors.
• Receive and respond to service requests and advise Project Manager of actions taken.
• Respond to emergencies and advise the Chief Engineer and Customer’s Representative.
• Implement maintenance and support programs assigned to the shift.
• Ensure operating logs and maintenance forms are completed and submitted timely.
• Control, maintain accountability, and oversee spare parts and tools issuance.
• Perform additional duties within contractual scope.
• Overtime and shift work may be required.
• Safely and skillfully use related hand and power tools.
