Job summary

American Dining Creations, a division of American Food & Vending, is hiring a Station Cook at our Columbia, SC location. You will prepare, cook, and serve menu items for designated stations such as Grill, Pizza, Deli, Salad Bar, Seasonal, and Specialty items while delivering friendly, high-quality service.

In this role you will follow safety standards, manage food storage and inventories, and support guests with a great dining experience.

Qualifications

• Hospitality/food service experience required.
• Basic knife skills preferred.

Responsibilities

• Follow standards to prepare and serve menu offerings for designated station(s).
• Carry pans, kettles, and trays of food to and from workstations, stove, and refrigerator safely.
• Serve food and any goods per guest specifications.
• Store foods in designated areas with proper wrapping, dating, and rotation procedures.
• Maintain temperature logs and production records.
• Keep supplies stocked and assist with inventory as directed.
• Set up and break down stations; clean and sanitize equipment and utensils.
• Follow state and local safety and sanitation regulations.
• Deliver friendly, professional service and assist guests and team members.

Summary: A Station Cook with American Dining Creations ensures exceptional dining through the set up, preparation, and serving of menu offerings to our guests. Stations may include Grill, Pizza, Deli, SaladBar, Seasonal, and Specialty menu items. By providing outstanding service, a smile, and amazing food,our Station Cooks create a memorable dining experience for our guests.

Responsibilities:

• Follow standards to prepare and serve menu offerings for designated station(s).
• Carries pans, kettles, and trays of food to and from workstations, stove, and refrigerator inaccordance with established safety standards.
• Serve food and any goods per guest specifications.
• Stores foods in designated areas following standard wrapping, dating, food safety, and rotationprocedures.
• Retains temperature logs and production records in an efficient manner.
• Keep supplies replenished, may restock coolers, and take inventory as directed.
• Set-up and breakdown stations, clean and sanitize equipment, utensils, dishes for designatedworkstation.
• Adhere to all state and local food production, safety, and sanitation regulations.
• Remain focused on customer satisfaction through providing excellent service to all guests,clients, and team members.
• Listen well and communicate in a professional and friendly manner.
• Be efficient and organized.
• May operate POS to complete orders, and package “to go” items.
• May be assigned other duties and responsibilities as needed.

Qualifications:

• Previous hospitality/food service experience.
• Basic knife skills a plus.
• Ability to learn quickly in a fast-paced, high-volume, high-quality environment.
• Self-motivated achiever, eager to learn and interested in taking on additional roles andresponsibilities.
• Must be dedicated to excellence in hospitality and have a desire to offer a great diningexperience.
• Ability to cross train and cross utilize skills.
• Safety and detail oriented.
• This position requires lifting 30lbs unassisted, bending, walking, climbing stairs, and standing forscheduled shifts.
