Job summary

The Oregon Department of Corrections is seeking a Security Threat Manager to join its statewide leadership team. This role focuses on emergencies, threat mitigation, and supervision of high-risk adults in custody, with opportunities for permanent placement, job rotation, or work-out-of-class for ODOC and OCE employees only.

The position requires travel across Oregon, collaboration with the Inspector General and other units, and responsibilities for planning, investigations, and training.

Qualifications

• Three (3) years of experience in a security setting in the Oregon Department of Corrections, including one year at Sergeant level.
• Ability to obtain DPSST Correctional Certificate or Correctional Certificate within one year.

Responsibilities

• As Security Threat Manager, you will represent the Chief of Security during emergencies and manage threats to the public, staff, and adults in custody.
• You will supervise and case-manage high-risk AICs, issue restrictions, and facilitate transfers as needed.
• You will coordinate with the Office of the Inspector General and other units, and travel to facilities as required.
• You will assist with emergency drills, planning, and intelligence gathering across ODOC facilities.
