The Oregon Department of Corrections seeks a Security Threat Manager to join its leadership team as a statewide role involving emergency planning, threat assessment, and management of adults in custody across facilities with regular statewide travel.

Current openings are statewide with potential for work-out-of-class or job rotation opportunities; travel may be required, and this position may participate in Police & Fire benefits as defined by statute.

Responsibilities

• Represent the Chief of Security during emergencies, emergency preparation and mitigation.
• Provide enhanced supervision and case management for Adults in Custody (AICs) who pose safety risks to ODOC facilities and staff.
• Maintain regular contact with assigned AICs to assess willingness and ability to comply with ODOC rules and policies.
• Issue appropriate restrictions and program modifications based on departmental needs and safety concerns.
• Facilitate AIC transfers within ODOC facilities and support ICOM placements as necessary.
