Qualifications

• Considerable knowledge in program subject matter, preferably public health.
• Knowledge of state and local partner functions for program success.
• Experience in planning and implementing health programs and initiatives.
• Ability to communicate complex public health concepts clearly.
• Ability to coordinate with federal, state, and local partners.
• Supervisory experience: delegating, guiding, and developing staff.

Responsibilities

• Formulate and interpret policies related to a public health program.
• Develop program plans, implement changes, and evaluate effectiveness.
• Create complex reports identifying trends and needs.
• Maintain management information systems and data for program area.
• Coordinate grant writing efforts and budgets.
