Job summary

The State of Indiana seeks an Adult Program Coordinator within the Indiana Department of Health Immunization Division to support statewide adult vaccination initiatives. You will collaborate with local health departments, healthcare providers, and community partners to improve access and vaccine confidence.

Responsibilities include provider recruitment, program monitoring, education/outreach, data review, and managing programs funded by federal/state resources.

Qualifications

• Considerable knowledge in program subject matter, obtained through experience/education in public health-related areas.
• Specialized knowledge of organization and function of state and local partners.
• Specialized knowledge of program planning and implementation techniques.
• Ability to communicate complex public health theories and principles clearly.
• Ability to coordinate and maintain relationships with local, state, and federal agency staff.
• Supervisory capabilities: delegate, set direction, and coach when applicable.

Responsibilities

• Formulate and interpret policies and procedures for a public health program.
• Develop program plans, implement changes, and evaluate ongoing effectiveness.
• Generate statistical and narrative reports showing trends and needs.
• Maintain management information systems and identify computerization needs.
• Coordinate grant writing efforts and manage related budgets.
• Serve as primary liaison with federal, state, and local partners to align objectives.
• May recruit, onboard, and train team members; set expectations and monitor performance.
