Job summary

The Illinois Department of Children and Family Services seeks a Statewide Competitive Procurement Administrator to oversee the Department's competitive procurements and contracts. The role requires strong organization, accounting acumen, and the ability to lead procurement processes and BEP initiatives.

As part of the role, you will manage contracts, amendments, and procurement documentation, serve as a liaison to CMS BEP, and ensure compliance while guiding staff and auditors through

Qualifications

• Requires knowledge of completing four years of college with coursework in business administration or accounting.
• Three years of progressively responsible administrative experience in business administration, public or private accounting, budgetary planning, auditing, or a financial field.

Responsibilities

• Oversee statewide procurement processes for competitive procurements.
• Serve as secondary approver for the APO in the state’s e-procurement system.
• Liaise with the CMS BEP Council.
• Monitor contract compliance and document vendor complaints on competitive contracts.
• Develop reports and correspondence on solicitations, services and contracts with vendors and staff.
• Develop and conduct training on purchasing procedures.
• Respond to auditors on procurement-related audit findings.
