Job summary

South Carolina Department of Administration seeks a Contracts Manager to oversee procurement for FMPS, coordinate solicitations, evaluate bids, and manage contracts through their lifecycle. The role collaborates with experts, vendors, and internal divisions to ensure compliance with laws and policies while meeting operational needs.

Onsite in Columbia, SC, the position requires knowledge of procurement regulations, strong communication, and the ability to manage multiple contracts from inception

Qualifications

• Knowledge of contract administration and procurement processes.
• Ability to lead and communicate with stakeholders.
• Strong writing and reporting skills.
• Familiarity with SC Procurement Code.
• Experience with contract lifecycle management.

Responsibilities

• Assist with procurement and development of solicitations for service contracts.
• Conduct market research to identify vendors, pricing trends, and procurement strategies.
• Coordinate evaluation committees for RFPs and other procurements.
• Maintain and monitor contracts and agreements throughout the lifecycle.
• Support day-to-day administration of contracts and review deliverables.
• Communicate contract status, risks, and actions to management.
• Maintain organized contract files and documentation.
• Provide responsive customer service to stakeholders.
• Investigate and assist in resolving contract-related issues.
• Assist management with special projects and department initiatives.
• Report to work during emergencies or hazardous weather events.
