Under the general supervision of the Director for the Maryland Office for Refugees and Asylees (MORA), the incumbent will coordinate and provide support to the administration of state programming, operations, and humanitarian assistance for refugee and immigrant newcomers to the state. Programming and operational functions will be coordinated with public and private providers to ensure individuals ineligible or unable to access other mainstream programs are protected and provided with essential resources, comprehensive support services, and viable opportunities for self-sufficiency. The State Program Coordinator will collaborate with and serve as a liaison for partnering sub-grantees, state and federal agencies, and other organizations and stakeholders to facilitate timely, culturally sensitive, and linguistically appropriate service provision and equitable access to programming. The incumbent will be responsible for monitoring the performance of state program sub-grantees and ensuring completion of all contractual deliverables through robust quality assurance efforts.
Education: A Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university.
Experience: Five years of experience in the administration of a human services program or experience conducting studies and analyses of programs, procedures, practices and organizations.

1. Candidates may substitute additional professional or technical experience in the administration of a human services program or experience conducting studies and analyses of programs, procedures, practices and organizations on a year-for-year basis for the required education.
2. Candidates may substitute graduate level education at an accredited college or university in a human services related field at the rate of 30 credit hours per year for up to two years of the required experience.
