Job summary

Michigan Online School is seeking a School Operations Manager to supervise the operations team across state-wide online schooling, ensuring compliance with sponsor and board regulations. This role collaborates with the leadership team to design and implement procedures for daily operations.

Responsibilities include overseeing student records, testing, attendance, and facilities management, while maintaining confidentiality and handling escalated issues for staff and families.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required; Master’s preferred.
• Proficiency with MS Office and Google Suite.
• Strong spreadsheet skills with basic/intermediate formulas.
• Experience in a school setting preferred.
• Experience managing law and regulation compliance.
• Ability to document and standardize procedures and workflows.
• Handle confidential information with discretion.
• Demonstrated leadership and judgment under pressure.
• Excellent written and oral communication.
• Ability to lift 25 lbs. and pass background checks.

Responsibilities

• Oversee student records, testing, attendance, and office management.
• Resolve escalated needs for staff, students, and families as a resource.
• Coordinate with Accel leadership to align school procedures with org goals.
• Serve as a member of the school leadership team.
• Develop, document, and archive procedures and workflows.
• Audit current procedures and identify improvement opportunities.
• Monitor compliance with department of education policies and state laws.
• Manage all student information per laws.
• Coordinate vendor communications as needed.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
