Qualifications

• One year of Librarian 2 or Rare Books Librarian experience or equivalent.
• Four years of professional library experience.
• Three years of professional library experience with a master's degree in library science or related field.
• Equivalent combination of experience and training including two years of professional library experience.

Responsibilities

• Program Leadership: Develop statewide professional development programs and guide key projects that support library staff education.
• Partnership Building: Collaborate with agencies and associations to advance training initiatives that align with Commonwealth priorities.
• Grant Management: Manage assigned grant projects by reviewing applications, supporting planning, and overseeing program budgets.
• Technology Use: Apply technology in strategic ways to expand learning opportunities for the library field.
• Field Support: Maintain reliable communication with library personnel to understand training needs and offer guidance.
