Job summary

The Division of Library and Information Services within the Department of State seeks a statewide Director Connections consultant to lead public library administrators, Friends groups and community partnerships, designing and delivering professional development through live training, webinars, and online modules that address statewide needs. It ensures ADA compliance and supports grant monitoring.

Qualifications

• Six years of direct professional experience; master’s degree may substitute.
• Experience in developing, organizing and conducting face-to-face and online professional development.
• Grant administration, project management or service project implementation experience.
• Experience building partnerships or managing stakeholder relationships in libraries or related groups.
• Knowledge of community resources, government information, social services or public engagement.
• Proficiency with modern productivity suites and cloud-based collaboration tools.

Responsibilities

• Provides statewide leadership for public library administrators, Friends groups, library foundations and community-library partnerships.
• Designs and delivers professional development including live training, virtual workshops, webinars, hybrid learning and course series.
• Monitors emerging trends and ensures content meets ADA standards and grant reporting needs.
• Provides consulting and technical assistance on governance, planning, and service delivery.
