The Dept of Emergency Management in Virginia is seeking a Statewide Interoperability Program Support Specialist to provide programming, project, coordination, and operational support to the Commonwealth Interoperability Coordinator's Office. You will work across state, local, tribal, federal, and private-sector organizations to strengthen public safety communications interoperability.

The role assists with implementing the Statewide Communications Interoperability Plan, coordinates governance

Competenze

• Knowledge of program coordination, project management, public administration, emergency management, or public safety.
• Ability to coordinate multiple projects, priorities, and deadlines.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills with ability to prepare reports, presentations, and briefing documents.
• Ability to establish effective working relationships with government officials, public safety professionals, and stakeholders.
• Skill in Microsoft Office applications and project coordination technologies.
• Ability to learn public safety communications terminology, systems, and interoperability concepts.

The Statewide Interoperability Program Support Specialist provides programming, project, coordination, and operational support to Virginia's Commonwealth Interoperability Coordinator's Office, which works across state, local, tribal, federal, and private-sector organizations to strengthen public safety communications interoperability. The position assists with implementation of the Statewide Communications Interoperability Plan, coordinates governance activities, tracks initiatives, engages stakeholders, and supports training, exercises, and special projects. The role serves as a central coordination point for interoperability information and works directly with public safety communications stakeholders throughout the Commonwealth.
