Job summary

Delaware Family Court seeks a Judicial Case Management Administrator to oversee all child support activities statewide. This role manages federal IV-D funding, ensures proper accounting, and leads the Quadrennial Review of the Delaware Child Support Formula in coordination with the DCSS and DOJ.

The incumbent acts as a primary trainer for staff and judicial officers, develops policies, and leads initiatives to improve case flow and service delivery across Family Court offices statewide.

Qualifications

• Three years’ experience in legal case flow management.
• One year of interpreting laws, rules, regulations, standards, policies, and procedures.
• One year of directing or overseeing operations, which may include planning, assigning, reviewing, and evaluating.
• Six months’ experience developing and implementing policies, procedures, action plans, and process improvements.
• Six months’ experience managing administrative and operational resources, including budget development and monitoring.

Responsibilities

• Assesses case filings to determine placement in case track/program or refer to alternative tracks.
• Liaises with internal/external stakeholders, judicial officers, court users, and the public to coordinate activities and explain processes.
• Creates and maintains case files with accuracy and completeness.
• Monitors case activity, tracks events/status, anticipates delays, and initiates actions to expedite cases.
• Researches case files and coordinates with resources to ensure accuracy of data and prepare court documents.
• Coordinates case activity with judicial officers, attorneys, and agencies.
• Advises officers on events leading to final disposition.
• Maintains contacts with legal community and other agencies to expedite case flow.
• Attends court proceedings, annotates worksheets, and supports data entry and document preparation.
