Job summary

State of Delaware - Family Court seeks an entry-level Judicial Case Manager to handle caseload flow, file management, and coordination across departments. You will assist in guiding cases through hearings and dispositions while maintaining sensitive information with discretion.

Qualifications

• Six months’ experience in managing cases as they move through the legal process.
• Six months’ experience in applying laws, rules, regulations, standards, policies and procedures.
• Six months’ experience in using an automated information system to enter, update, modify, delete, retrieve and report on data.
• Knowledge of narrative report writing.

Responsibilities

• Assesses case filings to determine placement in case track or program.
• Liaises with internal/external stakeholders to coordinate activities and explain court processes.
• Creates and maintains accurate case files.
• Monitors case activity through events, tracks status, and expedites as needed.
• Researches files and coordinates with resources to ensure data accuracy.
• Coordinates activity with judges, attorneys, law enforcement, and litigants.
• Advises judges on events leading to disposition.
• Maintains contacts with legal community and other agencies.
• Attends court proceedings and handles related tasks (noting, orders, data entry).
• Uses automated systems to enter, update, report on data.
• Arranges delivery for legal paperwork and correspondence.
• May manage court calendars and scheduling notices.
• Performs other related duties as required.
