Job summary

The Education Program Consultant II at the North Carolina Department of Adult Correction provides statewide leadership, consultation, and technical assistance to enhance educational programming for incarcerated learners. You will coordinate initiatives, evaluate effectiveness, and promote continuous improvement in collaboration with prisons, colleges, and workforce partners.

This role requires driving educational policy, professional development, and career pathways aligned with the Reentry 2030

Qualifications

Leadership, consultation or technical assistance for educational programs in K-12, adult ed, postsecondary or correctional education.
Ability to analyze program, instructional, or performance data to evaluate effectiveness and support improvements.
Experience delivering professional development or training for educators or staff.
Experience coordinating statewide projects requiring organization and cross-functional collaboration.
Thorough knowledge of instructional methods, educational planning and research as it relates to correctional education.

Responsibilities

Coordinate statewide educational initiatives and ensure consistent program implementation.
Evaluate program effectiveness and recommend improvement strategies.
Develop and deliver professional development for education staff and partners.
Collect, analyze, and report data to support educational outcomes and workforce alignment.
