Louisiana Department of Education seeks an Education Consultant 4 to lead statewide school-leadership initiatives in Louisiana. Qualifications

• Eight years of experience in education, teaching, or administrative services.
• Six years of full-time work experience plus five years in education, teaching, or administrative services; OR
• A bachelor's degree plus five years in education, teaching, or administrative services; OR
• An advanced degree plus four years in education, teaching, or administrative services.

Responsibilities

• Plan and coordinate statewide leadership-development programs for aspiring, novice, and experienced school leaders.
• Develop practical resources, presentations, training materials, and guidance for school and school system leaders.
• Facilitate professional learning, meetings, focus groups, and stakeholder sessions in both virtual and in-person settings.
• Work closely with school systems, agency teams, professional-learning partners, and other stakeholders to identify needs and strengthen leadership supports.
• Manage multiple projects at the same time by maintaining timelines, organizing logistics, monitoring deliverables, and communicating progress.
• Review program, workforce, survey, and stakeholder-feedback data to evaluate effectiveness and recommend improvements.
• Coordinate contracts, vendors, grants, budgets, and purchasing activities associated with leadership-development initiatives.
• Create clear communications, reports, talking points, and program updates for agency leadership, school systems, policymakers, and external partners.
• Research effective leadership-development, recruitment, retention, strategic staffing, and scheduling practices to inform statewide programs and resources.
• Monitor implementation across participating schools and systems, provide follow-up support, and help expand successful practices statewide.
